Biography
Kiri Allan is a Labour List Member of Parliament living in the East Coast. The East Coast is a large rural electorate and Kiri’s passion has been provincial growth, the primary sector and rural communities.
Prior to entering Parliament in 2017, Kiri practiced as a commercial lawyer and also was a Business Consultant managing a multi-million dollar primary production portfolio administering forestry, horticulture, apiculture and dairy assets in the East Coast region. Kiri worked on large-scale greenfield horticultural developments, and in particular in Kiwifruit and was a recipient of the Zespri Industry Governance program scholarship in 2016.
Kiri is the Chair of Labour’s Rural Caucus, is the Deputy Chair of Primary Production, a Member of the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee and a Junior Government Whip.
