The demonstration will involve containers being placed onto the conveyer before being shredded. The shredded plastic is emptied into bulk bags which are then secured once full and transferred to the curtain sider for transport (won’t be included in demo). This is how we currently clear the 95 collection sites nationwide and carry out on-farm collections of large volumes of containers – before the shred is processed in Auckland and turned into suitable end-use products such as underground cable cover & damp proof course.
There is a lot of interest in what we do with our empty agrichemical containers so we find that this helps to tell the story.
