Sue Saunders – Australia’s Department of Employment and Workplace Relations

Assistant Secretary, Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Delivery Branch, Pacific Labour Operations Division, Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations

Ms Sue Saunders is part of the Senior Executive team leading  delivery and administration of the domestic components of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme, a temporary migration program to address unskilled, low or semi-skilled workforce shortages in key sectors across regional and rural Australia, and nationally for agriculture and select agriculture-related food product manufacturing sectors, and provide economic opportunities to Pacific Islander and Timor-Leste peoples and countries.

Ms Saunders has previously held roles as Assistant Secretary in delivery of a range of Workplace  Relations programs (including the Fair Entitlements Guarantee program and  Personnel Operations for large government agencies) and led the establishment and delivery of corporate services to support effective delivery of the Australian Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements (2020).
