Biography
Ruth Richardson
Ruth’s career spans the public and private sector. She has been an agent of change in both domains.
In politics her initial ambition was to be Minister of Agriculture, agribusiness being her first love, but so central is agricultural performance to New Zealand’s economic and social wellbeing that she decided to go the whole hog and gun for the Finance portfolio.
In the private sector she has had a raft of primary sector directorships always focused at the premium end of the market.
Currently as a working girl her governance responsibilities span Synlait Milk Ltd, the Taxpayers Union, and the Champion Centre Trust.
