Charlotte and Richard Bedford

Dr Charlotte Bedford (Research Fellow in the Development Policy Centre at the Australian National University) and Dr Richard Bedford (Emeritus Professor at the University of Waikato and Auckland University of Technology) have been carrying out research on the RSE scheme since its inception in 2007.  They have participated in RSE Conferences since 2009 and have assisted MBIE and MFAT with a range of reviews of aspects of the scheme. At the 2023 RSE Conference their presentation will focus on how the RSE differs from the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) program and provide an initial review of MBIE’s data relating to RSE arrivals between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.
