Ms Cary Duffy leads the implementation of key operational reforms for the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (scheme), a temporary migration program to address unskilled, low or semi-skilled workforce shortages in key sectors across regional and rural Australia, and nationally for agriculture and select agriculture-related food product manufacturing sectors, and provide economic opportunities to Pacific Islander and Timor-Leste peoples and countries. This includes strengthening the oversight of domestic operations as part of improved support for PALM scheme workers and development and implementation of the new PALM scheme Approved Employer Deed and Guidelines that provide enhanced safeguards to workers.
