Biography

Brigit Corson – Head of Merchandise | Produce & Meat Foodstuffs North Island

Brigit currently leads the Meat & Produce Merchandise teams at Foodstuffs North Island and has been with Foodstuffs since 2012.

Although admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand Brigit has opted to pursue business roles in sourcing, procurement, property and now merchandise.
Brigit has always enjoyed green fields roles and in Foodstuffs she has started and built the non- stock procurement team, guided the Asset Management team through the merger in 2013 and

and has deployed transformational change in fresh through technology, process and people. A keen foodie, she couldn’t be happier enjoying a meal made with meat cut by a Foodstuffs instore butcher paired with the freshest produce from a local 4Square, New World or Pak’nSave.

Brigit holds several governance roles. She is on the Executive of United Fresh, a Trustee of 5+ADay, on the Board of Beef and Lamb NZ Inc, a Trustee and Board member of the Foodstuffs North Island Provident Fund and the Board of Thos. Corson Holdings, a Trans-Tasman maize milling business.
